The sales figures for new properties in the USA dropped for the second time in February. This indicates that the high prices and the increasing mortgage interest could prevent prospective buyers from buying.
As can be seen from government data, the purchases of new single -family houses fell by 2% to 772,000 units. Despite the second monthly decline in a row, which the Ministry of Commerce reported on Wednesday, sales are still above the level before the outbreak of pandemic.
As far as the mortgage interest is concerned, there were significant increases in February, whereby this movement also heats it, the US Federal Reserve took up 25 basis points last week.
